Liberty Cannabis

Medical Cannabis Dispensary, serving patients in Massachusetts with a valid doctor certification, valid state issued patient or caregiver card and valid form of government issued ID.

Walked into Liberty the other day and was greeted by a warm and friendly front-desk attendant who made me feel welcome off the bat. The budtender’s name was Danielle and she clearly has extensive knowledge about the various strains on the menu. She humored my catlike curiosity and we discussed different options for quite some time. I’m an exceedingly tough customer when it comes to flower - I’m not primarily looking for the highest potency… my real goal is to find an incredible aroma and flavor, and I avoid anything infused with terpenes because I find that they taste artificial to my palate. I mentioned that I am always on the lookout for citrus flavors, particularly anything resembling orange. She recommended the Burmese Mimosa which had a mandarin orange vibe. It was exactly what I was looking for, and the orange flavor was clearly pronounced. Will absolutely be back for another ‘mimosa’ next time I’m in Boston!

"Liberty Cannabis in Somerville is a hidden gem! As a medical patient, I've found their prices to be excellent, offering quality products at the most affordable price point in a 15-mile radius. The staff, especially Matty and the crew, are incredibly upbeat, fun, and friendly. Their positive energy creates a welcoming environment, and I always feel well taken care of during my visits. If you're looking for top-notch service, beautiful bud, great prices, and a fantastic atmosphere, look no further than Liberty Cannabis in Somerville. Highly recommended!" , Jill F (Somerville, MA)

Worst dispensary experience of my life. I was so excited when I saw they'd recently gone recreational. The staff at check out were helpful and friendly, with good products and prices. I was looking forward to becoming a regular. Unfortunately on my second visit, I let the staff know two days prior the 1g pax pod I purchased turned out to only be a .5g pod. Again, the customer facing staff were super helpful and saw indeed the product was listed incorrectly on the website as there were no 1g lavender haze pax pods on the rec side of things. Things took a turn for the worse when the older male manager (with white long hair and a beard) that they called for assistance immediately escaled the conversation, getting aggressive and refusing to help correct the error in any way, or even apologize for the mistake. I tried to resolve things professionally and respectfully, as I how challenging it can be to handle situations like this, but he only continued to get more hostile despite my best efforts to communicate effectively with him. The extreme anger of this gentleman, a manager non the less, was absolutely shocking and not something I'd expect to experience. I left feeling so uncomfortable with the man practicing chasing me out the door saying "good leave" when I said I didn't want an altercation and would go. As a frequent heavy cannabis smoker it is so disappointing to know my local shop conducts business this way, and I'm not sure I'll be comfortable returning to support a business with such appalling practices.

Dear Liberty Cannabis Customer Service, I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I have received at your Liberty Cannabis Somerville location. Unfortunately, this is the third time I am reaching out to address issues that have not only gone unresolved but have escalated to unprofessional and distressing situations. Today, I visited the store for the second time to address a persistent issue with a wallet payment from my bank. Despite my previous attempts to contact the manager and my repeated efforts to provide the necessary documentation, I was met with dismissiveness and a lack of concern for the ongoing problems. Upon attempting to explain my situation and provide the required documents, I was immediately dismissed by the manager, Matt, who stated that he only cared about my bank records. This interaction left me feeling accused of stealing from the store, a sentiment that is not only unfounded but deeply troubling considering my repeated efforts to rectify the situation. To my shock, when I expressed my frustration at being unfairly accused, Matt's immediate response was to threaten to call the Somerville Police. I questioned the necessity of involving law enforcement, particularly given the trivial nature of the issue at hand. This threat was eventually retracted, raising serious concerns about the professionalism and decision-making within your establishment. It is worth noting that this incident follows a pattern of escalating problems at Liberty Cannabis Somerville. On a prior occasion, I left the store only to discover that Matt had followed my social media accounts and provided me with promotional items, presumably due to my role as an industry cinematographer and editor. While I appreciate the gesture, it does not excuse the unprofessional conduct and lack of resolution to the ongoing payment issues. I am deeply upset by the events that transpired during my recent visit, and I believe it is crucial for someone within your organization to address these concerns promptly. I expect a thorough investigation into the unprofessional behavior displayed by your manager, as well as a resolution to the ongoing payment problems I have been trying to resolve. I appreciate your immediate attention to this matter and look forward to a swift and satisfactory resolution.

I've been getting a little concerned that there's more attention to the recreational menu than the medical. As a medical patient I'm not interested in paying all those taxes it doesn't make sense. But I am noticing a lot of dispensaries that have gone recreational is starting to lose focus of their medicinal involvement in the cannabis industry. I've even been to other recreational facilities and have asked about profiles of certain cannabis strains regarding effects and potency and a lot of budtenders just sit there and tell you weed is weed. That is not going to help the longevity of the market. You certainly don't get that kind of unprofessionalism at liberty. Liberty's filled with a great staff who cares and they've always had really nice products and have responded greatly in the past to patient suggestions. I don't know what's happening but I'm a little concerned that it may value the recreational over the medicinal. I'm not always trying to have a party in partake in cannabis it's been my medicine.
